Other Ways to Give
The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) relies on the support of people like you to mobilize the power of a worldwide network to feed millions of hungry people by rescuing billions of pounds of food. We make it easy and convenient for you to donate by whatever means you prefer.
Corporate and Group Opportunities
Volunteering with GFN is a great way for your company or group to increase morale, fight hunger worldwide, and have fun doing it! Get together and get involved through the following programs:
- Start a Jeans Day fundraiser in your workplace, organization, or among friends. For Jeans Day drives, encourage co-workers or group members to support GFN by donating a small amount to wear jeans to work for the day
Read about others who are already getting casual to seriously fight global hunger:
- Start a Walk-A-Thon to fundraise and increase awareness in your community about international hunger issues
- Start an office or group lunch campaign. Share a lunch by giving your lunch money to someone in need of a nutritious meal, and encourage others to do the same
Ask your employer about company giving programs such as:
- Matching Gifts
Many companies often increase the impact of their employees’ gifts to GFN, as well as to other charitable organizations, by matching employees’ contributions.
- Dollars for Doers
Similarly, many companies will make a contribution to a charitable organization for hours volunteered by employees.
- Payroll deduction
If your employer offers a payroll deduction program benefiting charitable organizations, you may be able to designate The Global FoodBanking Network as your charity of choice.
Your benefits or human resource department can provide you with information about these programs.
If your company or group would like to participate in any of these activities please contact Cathe Wood, Director of Donor Relations, at email@example.com.
